London, Ontario, Canada, July 01, 2025 — Caring Support is excited to announce the launch of the Caring Support Academy, a new initiative aimed at empowering healthcare workers through flexible, practical, and affordable online learning.
With a rapidly growing community of over 35,000 healthcare and wellness professionals, Caring Support continues to evolve from a hiring platform into a comprehensive career development ecosystem. The Caring Support Academy will offer micro-credential courses designed to boost employability, build confidence, and support the ongoing professional growth of nurses, PSWs, IENs, caregivers, students, and allied health professionals.
The Academy is led by Joanne De Rubeis, Director of Learning & Clinical Development and a founding partner. Joanne is a Registered Nurse, Ontario Certified Teacher, and seasoned healthcare educator with over 35 years of experience in clinical practice and program development.
“We created the Academy to give healthcare workers what they’ve been asking for—practical training that fits their lives and makes them stronger in their roles,” said Joanne. “Whether someone is brand new or decades into their career, we want them to walk away with confidence and purpose.”
Micro-credentials can be completed in 1–6 hours, with pricing starting at $49. Most courses include digital credentials and downloadable certificates, which users can add to their Caring Support profiles and resumes. Employers can also search candidates by credential.
Current and upcoming courses include:
Additionally, a free mini-course, The Power of You, is now available to all learners. Designed as a motivational reset, this short program helps healthcare workers reconnect with their purpose and impact—while earning a certificate of completion.
“We built Caring Support to help healthcare professionals get hired. Now, we’re helping them level up,” said Joseph Jongsma, CEO and Founder. “Joanne’s leadership is exactly what this space needs. Together, we’re giving healthcare workers tools to grow their skills, elevate their careers, and strengthen the entire system.”
New courses will be released monthly, with additional topics already in development based on input from healthcare organizations, educators, and frontline professionals.
As Caring Support deepens its investment in the future of healthcare work, the Academy reflects its continued focus on accessibility, quality, and purpose-driven learning.
