Thousands of Ontarians book COVID-19 vaccine appointments within hours of expanded eligibility

COVID-19 vaccines are now available for individuals 18 and older within Ontario's hotspots, and since the announcement more than 73,000 appointments have been booked. The vaccines will also be available to everyone else, 18 years of age or older as early as May 24, 2021.

Ontario hot spot residents aged 45 and older eligible for vaccine

As vaccination slowly begins to include the majority of the population, more and more people are now eligible to get the vaccination. In a recent news release, Ontario residents who are over the age of 45 and live in COVID-19 hotspot, along with child care workers are now eligible to register for their vaccine.

Ontario announces paid sick leave program to curb COVID-19 transmission

Paid sick days have been one of the most discussed items on the political government, since the COVID-19 outbreak. Yesterday, the provincial government of Ontario launched a new bill, that if passed, will allow workers to get paid sick days. A maximum of $200 per day will be paid for sick days.

Ontario provides $3.25M to expand Haliburton County community paramedicine long-term care program

The Ontario government launched a new program that provides over $3 million in expenses to expand the Community Paramedicine in Long-Term Care homes in Halliburton County. Laurie Scott, Halliburton-Kawartha Lakes MPP stated “This new funding will help keep our loved ones at home longer and avoid unnecessary trips to the hospital”
