New study in Ontario suggests that the healthcare system could save roughly $1488 per patient per year by making prescription medications free. This change would also help healthcare patients get access to their prescriptions they would otherwise leave unfilled or go prolonged times between refills.

Halifax has begun construction for 6 new long-term care homes scheduled to be ready by 2025. The new facilities will open up room for roughly 720 seniors, following this the province is hopeful for the rest of the 34 planned facilities to be completed by 2027.
