Study Reveals Seasonal Shifts in Human Sleep Patterns: Longer Winter Rest and Increased REM


Do you find that you are more tired in the winter and that you aren't getting enough sleep as you used to? In February 2023, a recent study cast doubt on the notion that seasonality has minimal bearing on human sleep patterns. A research carried out at Berlin's St. Hedwig Hospital monitored 188 patients and discovered that they slept for around an hour more during the winter than during the summer.
