StatCan Study: Men Outpace Women in Physical Activity, Risk Factors Hinder Some Groups

Abstract:

According to a new Statistics Canada research, 49% of men and 38% of women fulfill the weekly requirement of at least 150 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity. This indicates that males are more likely than women to meet this benchmark. Based on data from 2007 to 2019, the study demonstrates that different demographic groups had different levels of activity, with women having lower rates irrespective of age, wealth, and other variables.
