Leafy Greens May Help Protect Against Chronic Lung Disease

Abstract:

A new study found that eating vitamin K1-rich leafy greens like spinach and kale may reduce the risk of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Researchers observed that people with the highest vitamin K1 intake had healthier lung function and a 16% lower risk of developing COPD, though quitting smoking remains the most effective prevention.
