Early Allergen Exposure May Reduce Childhood Food Allergy Risk

Abstract:

A major Canadian study reviewing 190 global studies found that introducing common allergens like peanuts, eggs, and fish early and consistently lowers allergy risk. Delaying exposure past 12 months doubled peanut allergy risk. Early, regular introduction—especially for high-risk infants—helps build tolerance.
