Cannabis Use Disorder Linked to Rising Schizophrenia Cases

Abstract:

An Ontario study found schizophrenia cases linked to cannabis use disorder rose from 4% to 10% post-legalization. Researchers highlight the need for prevention strategies, especially for young people. While the study doesn’t confirm causation, it warns of worsening symptoms in those with schizophrenia.
